Hi, I'm Aimee — a Twin Cities mom and the founder of The Happ.
I built this app because I kept asking the same question every weekend: "What should we do today?" And I kept spending an hour sifting through Facebook groups, outdated websites, and mom forums to find something age-appropriate, affordable, and actually nearby.
There had to be a better way.
The Happ puts everything in one place and into your hand — kids eat free restaurant deals, family events & activities, parks & playgrounds, and local volunteer opportunities — filtered by where you are, how old your kids are, and how much you want to spend (including free).
We launched in Saint Paul and Minneapolis because this is home. And we're starting with a small group of Founding Families — real parents who are helping shape the app before we open it to everyone.
From day one, giving back has been part of what The Happ is about. A portion of our proceeds supports local kids' charities — and we're actively working to build partnerships with organizations that serve Twin Cities families. As those partnerships come together, you'll see exactly where your support is going. We believe that helping families find joy in their community should also help strengthen it.

We're local through and through. Minneapolis, St. Paul, and every suburb in between — we know these streets and we love this community. And as we grow, we're planning to expand to new locations across Minnesota, bringing The Happ to even more families statewide.
